Schedule

The game calendar runs on GMT+10, or AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight Time).

Mod-plots

Mod-plots are marked out on the calendar in dark grey. During this time, no player-plots are allowed. Mod-plots are defined as major metaplot activity; any other plots run by mods which do not constitute metaplot activity will be assigned slots just like a player-plot.

Player-plots

Player-plots will be marked out in green (low-scale plots) or blue (large-scale plots). A low-scale player-plot is defined as a plot which only impacts a localised number of characters (eg, a half-dozen people in a one-block radius). A large-scale plot is defined as one which impacts a major area of the setting (eg, the whole of a city) or a great number of characters. Player-plots which need to be submitted here include:

  • Plots which will have significant impact on the setting. This includes instances of crime; as crime is almost unknown by Dinotopian society, even petty theft will need to be known by the mods for NPC purposes.
  • Plots which have a significant impact on other characters.
  • Plots which will require mod involvement. Again, crime, even petty crime, fits under this heading.

If in doubt, best to err on the side of submitting a plot; if it doesn't need to be on the calendar, we will sign off on it right away. For larger plots, we will reply to the comment in order to help figure out remaining details, settle the dates or accept the plot as-is.

Up to two low-scale player-plots may be scheduled at one time. Only one large-scale player-plot may be scheduled at a time. We reserve the right to hold over a game-wide plot if we feel there have been too many close together (our characters need room to breathe!) No player-plots will be scheduled during mod-plots. This may not include player-plots which have arisen as a direct result of the mod-plot; if you feel you have a plot which would lend well to a mod-plot aftermath, do feel free to contact us!

Please use the following format:

Characters involved: [The names of all the characters involved; alternately, whether it's a game-wide event. Please include journal names.]
Length of plot: [How long the plot will ICly run, and preferred dates if any. Depending on its length and complexity, mods may add a backtag zone.]
Details of the event: [What this event entails and/or what sort of result you may want.]
NPCs? [Will you need NPCs to further the plot?]

Examples are posted below.

Backtag zones

These are periods immediately following a mod-plot in which only one low-scale player-plot may be scheduled, so as to allow time for backtagging without important metaplot information being overshadowed. These times are marked in light grey.
